Background

The term “Globalization” was coined by Professor Theodore Levitt of the Harvard Business School in The Globalization of Markets published in the 1983 issue of the Harvard Business Review.  The original economic meaning of globalization has evolved to an all-encompassing term reflecting the interactions, information, and communications globally. Digital technology has changed the way in which individuals and organizations communicate and access information.  These technological advances have demonstrated positive affects in the lives of people and societies, however, consequences do also inevitably arise from these advances.
